These colorful granola bars make a sweet and healthy treat for snacking.
2 pkg (1.48 oz each) Milk Chocolate M&M'S, divided
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
2 cups rolled oats
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 8-inch square baking pan and line with parchment paper. Chop half of the Milk Chocolate M&M’s; reserve remaining Milk Chocolate M&M’S
2. In small saucepan set over medium-low heat, combine butter, honey and sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes or until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Stir in peanut butter, vanilla and cinnamon until smooth. Remove from heat.
3. Stir in oats; fold in chopped Milk Chocolate M&M’S. Scrape mixture into prepared pan. Press firmly into even layer. Top with remaining Milk Chocolate M&M’S. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely. Cut into 12 bars.
Substitute almond butter for peanut butter.
